On June 25th-30th 2017, I drove US 395 from south to north along the eastern Sierra Nevada, returning on Hwy 88 through Carson Pass. Took a few little side trips up the canyons here and there. More snow than I have ever seen this time of year and the streams were completely unfishable due to whitewater from snow melt. Incredibly beautiful.
